Clayton Thomas Burrows is a Reservoir Engineer, Financial Economist, and M.B.A. at Apache Corporation in Houston, TX.  He works in Competitive Intelligence and Operations Support and is focused on solving large scale problems at the intersection of computer science, applied mathematics, and his subject matter expertise.  He is currently developing a convolution processes for two-phase basin modeling as an input for supply/demand commodity forecasts, machine learning models trained on geology and wellbore attributes for well performance prediction, and develops/maintains internal portfolio analytics that aid in Apache's strategy development and capital allocation process.  He is also a co-author on SPE-191783, a paper on well spacing optimization.  Clayton is skilled in C#, Java, SQL, Python and familiar with a variety of other languages.  He is well versed in Oracle, Spotfire, and server driven applications.  He has earned bachelor degrees in both Petroleum Engineering and Civil Engineering, a Management M.B.A., a Masters in Finance and Economics, and is currently pursuing his fifth degree, a M.S. Data Science from Whiting School of Engineering at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University through the college's Engineering Professionals program.
